Legendary Nollywood actor Zack Orji is recuperating from the ailment that necessitated his admission at the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of the National Hospital in Abuja on New Year’s Eve.
Orji, who is also adept in acting in French-speaking movies collapsed in his house’s toilet and was subsequently rushed to the hospital.

“It is true. He is currently in the hospital. They are running tests on him,” the AGN disclosed through its national Secretary.
The AGN national secretary disclosed that the actor’s condition has improved.
“He is getting better now by God’s grace,” he said.
A former President of the Actors Guild of Nigeria, Orji, was appointed a director of performing arts for the presidential campaign council of the All Progressives Congress (APC), in 2023.
The Enugu State born actor and director has featured in hordes of Nollywood movies like Blood Money, Evil Men, Glamour Girls, True Confession, Dead End 2, Deadly Passion, Ikuku to name a few.
In an exclusive interview with Prime Business Africa before his commitments with the elections in 2023, Orji revealed that the movie that tasked him the most was the blockbuster piece, Evil Men, that also featured Pete Edochie, Liz Benson, Ramsey Noah and Lasa Amoro.
Nigeria’s First Lady Remi Tinubu and the wife of the Vice President, Nana Shettima, visited the ailing actor at the hospital when they were at the hospital to meet the first baby of the year.
Meanwhile, in another show of solidarity and appreciation of his immense contributions to the growth of the motion picture industry in Nigeria, Uju Kennedy-Ohanenye, the minister of Women Affairs and Social Development has directed the hospital to provide optimal medical care to the ailing actor whose wife, Ngozi, is also an actor and successful entrepreneur.
