There are about six forthcoming matches before the conclusion of the qualifiers, and indication that the players are sure of more dollar rain as they continue in the quest to earn a ticket to the 2026 World Cup. The mother of all bonuses will come when the team wins ticket to the World Cup.
The new reward system (pay as you go) is aimed at gingering the Super Eagles to go all the way to the biggest-ever Mundial in the United States of America, Canada and Mexico next year. It is reasoned that the new system will ginger players and eliminate the controversies associated with it.

The same amount was dangled before the team to beat Benin Republic, but the tie ended in a 2-2 draw. With the Eagles and Coach Eric Chelle eager to consolidate on the victory recorded in Kigali, it will be a herculean task for the Warriors to earn their dream victory in Uyo.

The Warriors Coach, Michael Nees, and his boys are recalling with relish a first leg meeting between both sides way in 2023 when the encounter ended 1-1 at the Stade Huye Stadium in Rwanda, hoping they could push their luck and upgrade the result this time.
Historically, Nigeria holds the upper hand in this fixture. The only time Zimbabwe defeated the Super Eagles was in an international friendly back in 1981. In eight meetings, Nigeria has won four times, drawn three, and lost once.
