Grammy award-winning and multi-platinum-selling Nigerian global superstar, Ayo Balogun beat known as Wizkid, has revealed the date for his London tour at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
The concert will hold on Saturday 29th July, 2023, in support of his fifth studio album, More Love, Less Ego.
Join our WhatsApp ChannelThe show will take place when the football season in Europe have ended, although clubs, including Tottenham Hotspur, would be preparing for the beginning of the 2023/2024 campaign with pre season games.
The July event will mark the return of music act after his sensational performances at the O2 Arena in 2021.
The crowd that gathered at the historic venue were serenaded with the best of Wizkid’s songs and those special moments were tersely described by the English media who had nice words to say.
The Evening Standard said of the immense: “a triumph for African music’s increasingly globalized reach.”
“The Afrobeat superstar had the O2 Arena in the palm of his hand” – The Telegraph wrote in its Entertainment section at the time as the event was sold out.
Wizkid began his career in music at just 11 years old in the Ojuelegba suburb of Lagos, Nigeria.
Wizkid’s first record, Lil Prinz, was recorded in 2001 in collaboration with the group, Glorious Five.
His hit songs 6like Ojuelegba, Brown Skin Girl, Azonto, Joro, One Dance, Mood (featuring BNXN), Essence (featuring fast-rising Nigerian artiste, Tems) among others have also made waves in Nigerian parties, nightclubs, and airwaves.

The Nigerian multitalented star has become a global phenomenon, releasing multiple albums and singles, collaborating with some of the biggest names in music and performing on some of the world’s biggest stages.
Prior to the release of More Love, Less Ego, Wizkid dropped the singles Money & Love and Bad To Me, along with featuring on Chris Brown’s track, Call Me Every Day.
The 13-track album features collaborations with Skepta, Shenseesa, Ayra Starr (Nigeria’s newest female singing sensation) Skillibeng, Naira Marley (another Nigerian artiste of repute) and Don Toilver.
Wizkid reached a major career milestone in 2020 with his Grammy-nominated album Made in Lagos, which has over a billion streams to its name.
The album reached #1 on the Billboard World Albums chart and marked his first UK top 20. Global hit single Essence, featuring Tems, spent 21 weeks in the Official Charts, peaking at #16, and achieved RIAA-certified 2x Platinum status.
Tottenham Hotspur Season Ticket Holders and One Hotspur Members will be given priority access to tickets for the July 29th show with an exclusive pre-sale, commencing at 10am on Thursday 26th January.
Tickets will go on general sale on Friday 27th January, 10am, at tottenhamhotspur.com/concerts-and-events/wizkid/.

Tottenham Hotspur Stadium is London’s newest sports and entertainment destination, hosting a wide range of major events throughout the year alongside Tottenham Hotspur football matches, helping deliver an estimated annual boost of over £300m to the local economy.
Wizkid in November 2022 performed a similar successful concert at the Madison Square Garden in the United States of America.
