Mr. Schmale is said to have explained that the UN visit was to ensure that the Office and its staff would be familiar with the South East to erase the perception that they are only interested in the North East.

Prof. Soludo, however, stated that the visit was significant in the history of the state, stressing that for many years, the United Nations was without an office in the South East, until his administration came on board.

During the event, the Governor urged the United Nations system to actively participate in the role of assisting the country and Anambra State.

The Governor, among many issues emphasized the agenda of his administration for Anambra in the areas of Security, Economic Transformation, Human Capital, Governance, Rule of Law, Value System and the Environment.

He said his government would transform Anambra State into a livable and prosperous homeland to the awe of the world.

He further announced that his administration would soon inaugurate the Anambra Education Council, to further engender qualitative and accessible education, and establish  the Strategy Execution and Evaluation (SEE) Office. Governor Soludo noted that more than half of indigenous people of Anambra live outside the state.

The United Nations delegate, however pledged that though they might not be able to make input in terms of finance, they could assist with technical assistance. He further stated that one of their targets would be to identify where things are working, learn on it and make sure other countries capitalize on it.

In the company of Governor Soludo were the  Secretary to the State Government, Professor Solo Chukwulobelu, Chief of Staff to the Governor, Mr. Ernest Ezeajughi, Chief of Protocol and Deputy Chief of Staff to the Governor, Mr. Glamour Nwoye, and Commissioner for Budget and Economic Planning, Mrs Chiamaka Nnake, among many others
