Chairman of Prime Business Africa Editorial Board, Prof. Pat Utomi has expressed deep condolences over the death of Ambassador Ejeviome Eloho Otobo.
In a condolence message to Prime Business Africa, Utomi, a Professor of Political Economy, described Otobo as an uncommon patriot who with high zeal, served the country at various capacities as a diplomat hoping to see a a great developed nation.
Join our WhatsApp Channel“He (Otobo) served his country with uncommon patriotism and optimism about the possibilities of the Nigeria project, if we all did the needful,” Utomi stated.
He prayed to God to grant late Otobo’s family the fortitude to bear his irreparable loss.
Utomi also urged all to imitate his the the late diplomat’s attributes of “discipline and application of intellect to solving problems.”
Late Ambassador Otobo, aged 70, joined the Board of Newstide Publications, publishers of Prime Business Africa, as director in June 2021 and was later appointed as member of the Editorial Board of the newspaper as well where he made invaluable contributions in content growth of the online newspaper.
Otobo had a distinguished career in the diplomatic service of the Federal Republic of Nigeria where he served at various capacities in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and was appointed an ambassador in recognition of his contributions to Nigeria’s diplomacy and foreign policy.
He joined the United Nations and served in various fora on conflict management and peace building.
It will be recalled Otobo was declared missing by Police in Tuckahoe, New York, United States of America and his dead body was later found on Thursday last week in the area.
