Though the election is yet to be concluded, the Republican Presidential candidate, Donald Trump, has declared his victory over the Democratic Party candidate, Kamala Harris having won majority votes.
In a speech at West Palm Beach, Florida on Wednesday, Trump said: “America has given us an unprecedented and powerful mandate.”

Republicans have taken control of the Senate. They have won 13 of their Senate races, according to AP projections, giving them a 51-seat majority in the 100-seat chamber.

Trump’s comeback to complete his second is a historic one after he lost the election in 2020 to Democratic President, Joe Biden.
Fox News had projected that Trump would defeat Harris to become the 47th president of the United States.
Harris, who is the current vice president is yet to speak.
