Meanwhile, Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has confirmed that Egyptian midfielder Mohamed Elneny has picked up a hamstring injury.
The Gunners boss made the admission after the draw away at PSV Eindhoven in the Champions League.
Elneny made his first Arsenal start of the season in the Tuesday evening fixture and delivered a solid performance.
However, in the 62nd minute, the 31-year-old had to come off after appearing to have tweaked his hamstring. Martin Odegaard took his place.
After the game, Arteta was asked whether Elneny had indeed suffered an injury to his hamstring. The Spaniard responded in the affirmative.
“Yeah. We don’t know the extent of it but he’s done something,” Arteta admitted.
Elneny missed most of last season due to thigh problems and a knee injury, and only returned to action in September this year but has proven to be a positive influence on the dressing room with his exemplary attitude to work.
