Two players of Burna Boy’s Football Academy have been dispatched to Europe for trials, it has been revealed.
Although names of the two players were not made known, the two players were sighted in a viral video as they headed for the Murtala Mohammed International Airport with officials of the Academy and their parents.
Join our WhatsApp ChannelThe video also revealed the parents praying fervently for their wards just before their departure. It is equally not known for now what part of the Europe the players are heading to for trials.
But a post by X user benny @enny7gg confirmed the development saying “two players of Burna Boy’s Football Academy have been sent off for trials and signing in Europe. ⚽👏🏾”

The Academy informed on its website that it has four locations, namely Ikoyi, Surulere, Abuja and Port Harcourt, adding that programs run three days a week, with two hours of mandatory training per session.
While junior academy accommodates boys 4-15, the senior category features boys 16-21.
The Academy has as one of its motivational submissions “Hard work beats talent when talent doesn’t work hard”
Burna Boy is known to engage in a number of charity works, including distribution of food items in conjunction with Reach Nigeria Foundation.

The philanthropic efforts according to the Grammy Award winner, is to uplift underserved communities. Only recently Burna Boy amidst his brouhaha with celebrity bar man, Pascal Chibuike Okechukwu better known as Cubana Chief Priest, offered to relocate Kenyan woman Helen and her child to Nigeria with a further promise to enroll the child at his football academy.
Helen had claimed that the child belongs to the Cubana Chief Priest who has since denied her with some social media users however insisting that the said child has striking resemblance of the Chief Priest.
