It is also no longer news that the African Queen’ exponent has proposed to Deputy Majority leader of Edo State House of Assembly, Natasha Osawaru, and that she has accepted.

Safe to say that multiple award winning artist has always been the crush of many ladies. In his days with Kenny Music, it was said that many ladies were practically blocked at the gate from seeing him to avoid distractions.
In a recent interview, Music Producer, DJ and television presenter, Kehinde Ogungbe, simply known as Kenny Ogungbe, gave credence to the report noting that it was all aimed at checkmating the number of ladies that want to be attached to 2Baba who is also known to be very active in the other room.
Why Not?
That the 49-year-old father of six, who was inducted in the Headies Hall of Fame in 2015 and the ‘Music Legends Hall of Fame’ in Ghana in 2022, is handsome and attractive is to put it mildly. And with musical prowess and riches to go with it, plus his well-known goal scoring ability’ how and why will he not be a ladies crush?
Bolt From The Blues:
For many, the announcement of the break-up of Tuface marriage, with Annie Macaulay, was as surprising as that of Pep Guardiola and wife Cristina Serra.
2Baba and Annie after 13 years and Pep and Serra after 10 years, though they have been together for over 30 years after meeting and 23 and 20 respectively. Both on the surface depict the perfect couple. So on Sunday, January 26, 2025, when 2Baba dished out the shocker, it ended a fairy tale that many had come to love for years.
He wrote, “Hello to my beautiful people of all federations. Well, this thing I have to say is short but also long…I and Annie Macaulay have been separated for a while now. And currently filed (sic) divorce…I would grant a press release soon to say my story…not because it is anyone’s right to know about my personal life; but because I love my people and I need them to know my innocence or offence. Stay blessed, my people. I love you all.”
Many of course took it for a joke, especially considering that the post was later deleted with the claim that the account of the musical idol who was awarded honorary Master of Arts in Music at the Igbinedion University in 2016 was hacked.
But a video that emerged afterwards where 2Baba himself confirmed that his account was not hacked and that he actually made the post, finally sent the message and set the social media ablaze.
Failed Attempt:
The hacked account story was actually an attempt by those close to the music icon to do damage control. Close family members know that all has not been well but were determined to patch along and possibly find solution. So when the announcement was made it didn’t go down with them.
Perfect Wedding Endorsed and Loved By Many:
Like most celebrity wedding, Tuface and Annie’s Wedding in 2013 lived up to expectation and their admirers were delighted indeed. Prayers were offered for the union to last for as the couple live that of course has always been the prayer point.
The wedding, which was in two parts, dragged celebrities, to Akwa Ibom and Dubai respectively. While the traditional marriage took place in Akwa Ibom State; the second part took place in Dubai.
Expectedly it would be easier to count dignitaries who did not attend than to attempt to count those who attended and current President of the Nigerian Senate President, Godswill Akpabio, gifted the lovebirds a Toyota Prado SUV.
The Dubai leg which took place at the famous 5-Star Jumeirah Beach Resort in Dubai, had guest list comprised of top Nigerian personalities and entertainers like Banky W, Don Jazzy, Rita Domnic Jim Iyke, Kate Hensaw, Basket Mouth and Timaya. The 250 guests witnessed as the newlyweds exchanged their vows.
Baby Mamas And Their Babies
These days it is in vogue for musicians to have Baby Mamas and of course resultant babies. So expectedly, when it was reported that 2Face has registered a Baba Mama in popular make-up artiste and socialite, Pero Adeniyi, it came as a surprise to some but for others it is to be expected as he is not the only one with Baby Mamas, besides the Baby Mama syndrome has become a way of giving other ladies a piece of the cake without necessarily having many wives under the same roof.
At the last count, 2Baba had garnered six children from three different women and many will say still counting, but when he confirmed he was no longer in the business of impregnating ladies, could that mean close of market for other ladies still have the 2Baba Crush?
Divorce Or Cabinet Reshuffle?
On a good day, women are described as “Ministers of Home Affairs.” For those who literarily believe this, the reason is that they run the homes and most times determine in the homes who gets what and when. The trending divorce of Tuface and Annie and his recent switch to Natasha looks more like a Cabinet reshuffle, dropping one Minister of Home Affairs and unveiling another just like a typical government does from time to time.
Annie’s friends and well-wishers are not happy with the reshuffle and have not hidden their disdain for the move, but the man in the eye of the storm appears to be moving fast in his cruise to have a new minster of home Affairs hit the ground running, which explains the speed at which the task of visiting the Edo House of Assembly, the marriage proposal and the acceptance has been executed.
In Matters Of The Heart, Who Has The Final Say?
While Tuface is moving fast in his finishing touches to have Natasha as the current ‘reigning African Queen in his heart, his mother Rose Idibia has made public appeal to Natasha to free her son. Madam Rose Idibia got serious about the appeal after viewing the still trending marriage proposal and Hon. Natasha’s acceptance that has gladdened 2Baba’s heart.

Apparently acting as both a mother and perhaps as medical adviser, Madam Rose in a video insists his son is not in the right frame of mind to make any proposal due to ongoing divorce from Annie Idibia. She did not stop the appeal there, as she called on all mothers in Nigeria to help her in the appeal.
She said: “Good evening, Nigerians. My name is Mrs Rose Idibia, the mother of 2face. This message is for Miss Natasha Osawaru of Edo State. I’m calling on all mothers in Nigeria to help me beg her to free my son.
“My son is going through divorce process and he’s clearly not in his right senses now. I know my son, this is not him. “even as she insinuated that beads put on his son by the lawmaker may be having some effect as she added “remove the “beads you put on his hand and on his neck”
War In Valentine Island:
It is February 14 and love is in the air. Interestingly the battle for the ‘soul’ of Tuface Idibia is intensifying. It may have started long ago, but it reached a melting point with the coming of this year’s Valentine.
As the war rages on between mother and son on one hand, mother and ‘incoming daughter in-law on the other and divorce case in between, fans of the iconic singer cannot be wondering how he is spending and would be spending the valentine.
Be rest assured that in spite of the war of words, the appeals and the intrigues, a heart arrested by love can only dance to the music of love.
Tuface, the Ladies Man, is in love and from the excitement on the face of the lawmaker, despite initial denials, a ‘new minister’ has been appointed, and a new minster of home affairs is about to resume duties with rumours that the new madam could indeed be expecting.
Like the typical Nollywood video, the Tuface love story is just unfolding and would certainly be having many parts.
