Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford Monday evening has signed a contract extention at the club until the summer of 2028 after he rebuffed interests from a number of Premier League clubs and from across Europe.

Various reports monitored indicate that the new deal translates to about £325,000 per week wages aside match bonuses for the rangy forward.

The Carrington graduate is on the back of his best season to date after registering the first 30-goal campaign of his career, so it’s no wonder why Erik ten Hag was adamant about tying him down.

It was also no surprise that he was named Sir Matt Busby Player of the Year for his scintillating performances across the 2022/2023 term.

According to reports in the English media on Monday, transfer news expert David Ornstein confirmed that Rashford has rejected lucrative proposals from clubs across Europe, including in England.

Rashford was linked with a move to Paris Saint-Germain as a possible replacement for the departing Lionel Messi.

However, the United star who was recently honoured by the British government for his humanitarian work in terms of feeding school children ostensibly chose his current club in a bid to stay closer to home and oversee his other interests.
