2. Dangote to Transport Refined Products by Sea
The Dangote Group has revealed plans to transport refined petroleum products by sea.
This was revealed in a statement on Sunday by the Senior Adviser to the Group President on Special Projects and Strategic Relations, Fatima Wali-Abdurrahman.
3. 17 State Governors Raise Minimum wage Committee
Seventeen state governors have raised committees to help implement the N70,000 new minimum wage for workers across the country.
The seventeen states include Ogun, Ekiti, Sokoto, Kebbi, Osun, Enugu, Borno, Zamfara, Kogi, Kwara, Gombe, Kano, Taraba, Delta, Rivers, Jigawa and Abia.

5. Naira-for-crude Deal to Begin on Tuesday
The Technical Sub-Committee on Domestic Sales of Crude Oil in Local Currency, on Sunday, has confirmed that the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited will begin supply of crude oil in naira to the Dangote Petroleum Refinery on Tuesday, October 1, 2024.
The committee had earlier announced on September 13, 2024 that Federal Executive Council under the leadership of President Bola Tinubu has approved the sale of crude to local refineries in naira and the corresponding purchase of petroleum products in naira.

The Minister of Power, Chief Adebayo Adelabu, has claimed that over 40 per cent of Nigerians now enjoy 20 hours of electricity supply daily.
This was contained in a statement by his media aide, Bolaji Tunji, where he explained that this feat was achieved following certain revolutionary measures taken by the government to ensure that Nigerians enjoyed a more stable and regular electricity supply.

Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara has said his opponents and detractors are pained that he has achieved in one year what they couldn’t in eight years.

The National Union of Chemical, Footwear, Rubber, Leather and Non-Metallic Products Employees (NUCFRLANMPE) has said that no fewer than 40 companies have shut down in the last three years due to economic instability in Nigeria.
Speaking during the 7th Quadrennial Delegates Conference of the association, held in Ado-Ekiti, Ekiti State, the outgoing President of the Union, Babatunde Olatunji, criticized President Tinubu over the removal of petrol subsidy citing it as one of the factors that contributes to the country’s economic woes.

16. Former Taraba Emirate Accountant Arrested over Murder of Emir’s Wives, children
Former accountant of the Mutum Biyu Emirate palace in Gassol Local Government Area of Taraba State, Alhaji Nafi’u Yahaya, has been arrested by the Police over his alleged involvement in the abduction and murder of two wives and five children of the emir, Justice Sani Sulaiman, in February 2023.
He was arrested after a suspected kidnapper in police detention in Abuja confessed that Yahaya was a supplier of AK-47 rifles to kidnappers.
17. Police arrest 2 over Transformer Theft
The Police have arrested two men identified as Okojie Prince and Aruka Uche for allegedly stealing two electricity transformers and 5 flex cable wires.
According to reports, the suspects stole 300kva and 100kva transformers along with two drums of 2.5mm flex cables at No. 8, Idugboe Estate, off Sapele road, Benin-City, on 11 August 2024.
18. MNJTF intercepts Boko Haram group
The Multinational Joint Task Force (MNJTF), has foiled plans of Boko Haram group of terrorists who were planning attack along the Magumeri-Maiduguri axis in Borno State.
According to the Military Information Officer in N’Djamena, Chad, Lieutenant Colonel Olaniyi Osoba, the troops acted on intelligence and laid an ambush which neutralised the threat before the terrorists could carry out their planned assault on innocent civilians.
19. Kumuyi urges Nigerians not to flee Nigeria for Greener Pastures
The General Superintendent of Deeper Christian Life Ministry, Pastor William Kumuyi has urged Nigerians not to flee the country in charge of greener pastures.
He said this during a Sunday sermon in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, as part of the ongoing Global Crusade with Kumuyi (GCK), where he expressed concerns over the japa syndrome that has taken over the youths of the country with many leaving the country only to face regret later on.
