The deputy senate president had contested for the position under the platform of the APC during the 18 March governorship and State Assembly elections in the state.

Three major socio-cultural groups in Nigeria – Ohanaeze Ndigbo, Middle Belt Forum and Arewa Youths- have cautioned against any plan by any group to foist an interim government instead of swearing the president-elect, Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

The revelation was contained in the 2019 annual report of the Auditor-General for the Federation currently being scrutinised by the Senate Public Accounts Committee.

The Nigerian government through the Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Commission has approved 173 digital lending applications to operate in the country.
Of the 173, 119 have full approvals and 54 have conditional approvals. After loan apps started harassing Nigerians, the FCCPC began a registration drive to protect citizens from the atrocities of these apps.
