1. Labour Threatens Strike As Minimum Wage Talks End In Deadlock Again

Organised Labour has threatened to embark on another strike as the meeting with the Federal Government on Tuesday over minimum wage ended in another deadlock.

2. One Year Anniversary: Tinubu’s administration will be placed below 50% – Fadojoe

The leader of Rescue Movement for New Nigeria, the Rescue The Vulnerable Initiative, Faduri Oluwadare Joseph Fadojoe has said that the overall scorecard of President Tinubu’s administration will be placed below 50%.

This was contained in a statement he issued on the one year anniversary of the Tinubu government. He asked the President to check his policies before rolling them out.

3. FG Begins Distribution Of Free Gas Cylinders

The Federal Government has began the distribution of free gas cylinders with a target of at least one million homes by 2030.

The programme which is under the ‘Decade of Gas’ initiative, tagged LPG grassroots penetration is done to promote clean cooking energy for families across the country.

Deputy Senate President, Barau Jibrin, has congratulated President Bola Tinubu on his one year anniversary describing him as a great and visionary leader.

In a statement to commemorate the one year anniversary of the government which was signed by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Ismail Mudashir, he said that the President has steadily navigated the once-adrift ship of the Nigerian State to safety.

5. Sanusi Introduces Electric Motorcycles, solar-powered Tricycles in Oyo

Business mogul and philanthropist, Engr Dotun Sanusi has introduced the first batch of electric motorcycles and solar powered tricycles in Oyo State.

This comes shortly after his introduction of the first electric bus in the state.

6. Increase in Marine Revenue By 92% – Oyetola

Minister of Marine and Blue Economy, Senator Adegboyega Oyetola, has said that there has been an increase in revenue by 92%.

He said that the earnings by the Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) and Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA) grew from N126,359,074,742 to N242.811 billion in the last one year.

7. Tinubu Commissions National Assembly Library, Resource Center 

As part of the programme to mark President Bola Tinubu’s one year in office, he will be commissioning the National Assembly Library and Resource Center now to be known as Bola Ahmed Tinubu building.

This was disclosed in a statement on Tuesday by the Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga.

8. NNPCL Uncovers 122 illegal Oil Refineries In Niger Delta 

The Nigerian National Petroleum Commission Limited (NNPCL) uncovered 122 illegal oil refineries in the Niger Delta region.

According to a documentary released by NNPCL on Tuesday, 65 illegal pipelines were discovered and removed and a filling station in Ákwá Ibom State was sealed for selling illegally refined fuel.

9. Rate Of Naira Remain Static

According to data from the official trading platform of the FMDQ Exchange, a platform that oversees the Nigerian Autonomous Foreign Exchange Market (NAFEM), it was revealed that naira has remained static on Tuesday.

Naira traded at the rate of N1,339.33 per dollar on Monday and Tuesday at the official market. This indicates that it neither lost nor gained value.

10. Charly Boy Speaks on Why Soyinka Shouldn’t Be Taken Seriously

Maverick singer, Charly Boy, has given reasons Nigerians should not take Nobel Laureate, Wole Soyinka seriously.

According to him, Soyinka who will be 90 in a few days may be suffering from brain deterioration due to aging. This he claimed may be the reason for his rhetorics and actions in recent times.
