Speaker, Nigerian House of Representatives, Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila on Saturday said that All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s age is what his mother said he is, and urged those in doubt to go and meet her to verify.
The speaker made the remarks during APC mega rally in Lagos on Saturday, November 26, 2022, in an apparent reference to some issues raised by critics about Tinubu’s candidacy, one of which is his age.

Tinubu’s mother, Alhaja Abibatu Mogaji, who was the Iyaloja General of Nigeria, died in June 2013 at the age of 96.
Tinubu’s age has been a subject of controversy in the course of campaigns for the 2023 elections. While the APC presidential candidate says he is 70 years old, his political opponents insist that he is older.
The House of Representatives speaker also told APC supporters at the rally to focus on educating undecided voters to see the need to vote for Tinubu and APC in general, during the next year’s election. He also claimed that Tinubu is more educated than all the presidential candidates for the 2023 election.

Gbajabiamila described Tinubu as the greatest politician in modern-day Nigeria.
The House Speaker also urged people from Southeast and South-South residing in Lagos to support Tinubu, stating that he has, together with other subsequent governors of the State, invested in them and it was their time to invest in him.
