Investors exchanged 914.443 million shares worth N15.263 billion in 18,021 deals this week, surpassing last week’s 823.005 million shares traded in 17,482 deals, worth N12.228 billion.

Top three sectors

The Financial Services Industry led the top three sectors by measure of volume, after reporting 723.125 million shares were traded in 9,122 deals, worth N5.20 billion.

The Consumer Goods came next with 51.097 million shares exchanged in 2,610 deals, valued at N4.668 billion.

Conglomerates Industry reported the third highest share volume of 36.089 million, worth N72.383 million, were traded on its floor, in 527 deals.

Top three equities

Mutual Benefits Assurance Plc, FBN Holdings Plc and Access Holdings Plc accounted for 35.63% and 11.52% of the total equity turnover volume and value respectively.

This makes the three companies the top three equities, as 325.818 million shares exchanged investors hands on their floors combined, in 1,897 deals worth N1.758 billion.

Top five gainers

  • NEM gained N1.18kobo, after its stock price appreciated from N3.82kobo to N5 per share.
  • Mutual Benefit reported an uptick of 20 percent, as its share rose from N0.25kobo to N0.30kobo per share.
  • Japaul Gold share went up by 17.24 percent, rising to N0.34kobo from N0.29kobo per share.
  • Multiverse saw its share price gain N0.30kobo, increasing to N2.40kobo from N2.10kobo per share.
  • Honeywell recorded an appreciation of N0.30kobo, after the share went from N2.42kobo to N2.72kobo per share

Top five losers

  • NNFM share depreciated by N1.10kobo, dwindling from N8.60kobo to N7.50kobo per share.
  • FTN Cocoa share dropped in value by 12.12 percent, to settle at N0.29kobo from N0.33kobo per share.
  • Ellah Lakes followed the same path, losing N0.40kobo after trading hours, to sell at N3.60kobo from N4 per share.
  • Fidson reported a decline of N0.99 in its share, depreciating from N10.10kobo to N9.11kobo per share.
  • Vitafoam share lost N2.20kobo from previous day’s N22.50kobo, dropping to N20.30kobo per share.
