In a playful yet pointed jab, Senator Shehu Sani took to the social media to mock the immediate former Kaduna State Governor, Nasir El-Rufai, after the news that his nomination by the President for the Ministerial position was not confirmed by the Senate.

The Senate confirmed 45 of the 48 nominations by the president as cabinet members during its session on Monday, August 7.

Three of the nominees, former Kaduna State Governor Nasir El-Rufai, Stella Okotete (Delta State), and Abubakar Danladi (Taraba State), are still undergoing security clearance. The nominations were put to a series of voice votes by Senate President Godswill Akpabio.

In his post Sani roteu, “James applied for a job. James wrote exams for the job. James attended an interview for the job. James failed the exam and failed the interview. James came out to the gate and told his friends that he has withdrawn his interest in the Job.” The accompanying laughing emoji showed Sani’s lighthearted intent, even as he touched on the recent events.

The former Kaduna State Governor, Nasir El-Rufai, had been nominated for a Ministerial position in the federal government. However, reports emerged that his nomination was not confirmed by the Senate, leading to speculation about the reasons behind the decision.

In response, Sen. Shehu Sani’s commentary garnered significant attention online, with social media users sharing and discussing his humorous take on the situation.

As the situation continues to develop, Nigerians are closely following the aftermath of El-Rufai’s failed confirmation and the responses it elicits from various quarters.
