Scores Feared Dead As ‘Drunken Driver’ Rams Into Soldiers In Lagos

An unconfirmed number of soldiers from the Myoung Barracks in Yaba, Lagos State, are feared to have been killed, after a suspected drunken driver, crashed his vehicle into them during a physical exercise on Friday morning.

According to a report by an online platform, TheNiche, the driver rammed into the soldiers during their monthly road jogging exercise outside the barracks in the early hours of Friday.

The report said many soldiers were injured in the accident.

One of the soldiers who spoke on the incident said the Toyota vehicle had three young men suspected to be Internet fraudsters, notoriously called ‘Yahoo Boys.’

While one of them ran away, the others were beaten to stupor and the car vandalised.
