As part of the celebration marking 55 years of Rangers International, the Centre for Memories, Ncheta Ndigbo, has announced planned premiere of the club’s documentary.
The documentary, which will premiere both in Enugu base of the club, also known as The flying Antelopes, and London, will hold on Friday, February 21, simultaneously at 6pm.

Rangers, established in 1970 just after the civil war in Nigeria, dominated the Nigerian football scene in the 70s and 80s producing legendary figures like Christian Chukwu, Emmanuel Okala, Godwin Achebe and Ifeanyi Onyedida among others. Their legacy lives on, inspiring generations of footballers and fans alike.
This compelling documentary by Ed Emeka Keazor, Eagle History Media chronicles the club’s rich history, the battles fought on and off the pitch, and the enduring ‘Never Say Die’ spirit, that mirrors the resilience and tenacity of Ndị Ìgbò.
The occasion Primebusiness.africa gathered, will provide opportunity for attendees to interact with veterans of the club while relieving nostalgic memories in a Meet-and-Greet with Rangers Legends and Club Management session.

Recall that in the wake of the Nigeria-Biafra War, the club became more than a football team, as it provided succour and played a crucial role in the reintegration of Ndị Ìgbò into Nigeria.
Rangers who are reigning League champions, boasts of eight premier league titles, the latest being last season when they defeated Bendel Insurance 2-0 to lift their 8th title. The Coal City based side first clinched the league title in 1974.
Previous wins include back to back victories in 1974 and 1975, and 1981 and 1982 respectively. Also in the kitty of the Flying Antelopes are six FA Cup wins and Nigeria Super Cup title.
At the continental level, Rangers who have become perennial qualifiers for the CAF Competitions namely Champions League and Confederation Cup, boast of a CAF Cup Winners Cup won in 1977.

The club has however appeared severally in the CAF Champions League and Confederation Cup but unfortunately crashing out at various stages while still eyeing action in the finals.
The Fidelis Ilechukw tutored side are currently 5th on the log with 35 points in 23 matches in their quest to possible defend their title.
In continuation of the league clashes, Rangers will host Remo Stars on Sunday. The tie will pitch Coach Ilechukwu against Daniel Ogunmodede at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium, Enugu.
Both coaches are assistants to the Super Eagles coach and are in charge of Team B Eagles, otherwise dubbed CHAN Eagles. They will however put away their camaraderie for at least 90 minutes as the battle for points Sunday. Remo Stars are table toppers and have enjoyed impressive runs in the league for some time now.
Rangers go into Sunday’s match on the back of only two victories from last five matches played, while Remo Stars have recorded five wins in five outings both home and away and will be hoping to continue the winning streak given the chance.
