Christophe Galtier has been appointed as the new head coach of Paris Saint-Germain following the sacking of Mauricio Pochettino on Tuesday reports Prime Business Africa.
Galtier arrives Paris on a contract until the summer of 2024 and will be expected to win the UEFA Champions League for the billionaires.

Pochettino’s sack had been agreed in principle between the PSG hierarchy and the Argentine coach but was never made official until Tuesday. With the termination of his contract settled, PSG had went in search of a new manager.
A tweet by the club on Pochettino’s departure read thus:
“Paris Saint-Germain confirm that Mauricio Pochettino has ended his role at the Club.
“The Club would like to thank Mauricio Pochettino and his staff for their work and wish them the best for the future.”
Galtier in his first interview with the media on Tuesday revealed that new Sporting Director Luis Campos was key in his decision to accept the offer.
“Campos’ presence was decisive. I accepted PSG job with a lot of humility but with great determination.
“We all have to work together to make people happy. Alone it is difficult but together we are much stronger.
“I have spoken with Luis Campos to convince players to join us. I have total confidence. It’s a job of passion.
“There is no better place than PSG to win trophies,” said Galtier as he reflected the mood of the club owners.
The French Ligue 1 season will begin in the first week of August 2022.
