Peseiro Names Ndidi, Musa, Aribo, Okoye, 23 Others For Portugal Friendly

Super Eagles handler, Jos Peseiro on Saturday named his 27-man squad for the November 17 high profile international friendly game against Portugal reports Prime Business Africa.

Leicester City’s Wilfred Ndidi who made his 174th Premier League appearance for the Foxes in Saturday’s 2-0 win over Everton makes his return to international football after a hamstring injury kept him out in the friendly against Algeria in September.

Also returning to the team after being omitted from the Algeria game is Southampton midfielder Joe Aribo.

The match will hold at the 50, 000 capacity Estádio José Alvalade on November 17, 2022 which will be the last official match of the Super Eagles in the 2022 calendar year, seven days after an Eagles side comprised mainly of home-based players test their might against Costa Rica.

Costa Rica will play at the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar and have a couple of players heading to the tournament.

Other players invited are captain, Ahmed Musa who just returned from injury; Omonia Nicosa goal tender, Francis Uzoho, inform Watford defender, William Troost-Ekong Italy based duo, Victor Osimhen as well as Ademola Lookman are also part of the team.

Ostensibly missing from the list yet to be made public is Paul Onuachu who has scored 12 goals including a haul in Genk’s 4-1 thrashing of Charleroi on Friday.

Victor Osimhen and Ademola Lookman both scored for Napoli and Atalanta when they faced off in the Serie A on Saturday evening.
