Osimhen it will be recalled joined the Eagles camp in Uyo shortly after sorting out his transfer saga that ended with pitching his tent with Galatasaray ahead of the Eagles double header against Benin Republic and Rwanda.
He scored the second goal in Eagles 3-0 thrashing of Cheetahs in Uyo and the second match against Amavubi in Kigali ended in a goalless draw.

With the thigh strain, Austin Eguavoen who is likely to dish out his squad for the coming ties against Libya this week, is likely to leave out Osimhen but is sure to have Ademola Lookman who has continued with his impressive form since the last set of qualifiers. Libya and Nigeria have met five times in the past with Nigeria winning four times and losing once.
The last competitive clash between both sides was Africa Cup of Nations qualifier on October 16, 2018 in Sfax Tunisia.
It was a home game for the Mediterranean Knights but had to be played away from home due to security concerns.
