Football Transfer News: Osimhen Hints At Decision To Remain At Napoli

Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen has hinted that he will not be calling it quits with playing for his Italian champions side SS Napoli.

Osimhen scored 26 League goals and five others in Cup competitions as the team won a first title since 1990 when the legendary Diego Maradona inspiring the team to glory.

With several top European sides like Manchester United, Chelsea Paris Saint-Germain, Bayern Munich and Arsenal showing interest in the Nigerian who has been nominated for the 2023 African Footballer of The Year award, the poosible stay in the Naples side has been divulged by the player himself.

Speaking to a football website, Soccernet, Osimhen said following:

“I’m so proud that I am actually a Scudetto winner, for me, it’s a huge one,” Osimhen told Soccernet. “Whatever honour that comes after this, I will welcome it.

“And I am really working hard to make sure, and now I am addicted to trophies because now the Scudetto is my first trophy as a pro. Now I’m addicted, and I can’t wait for the new season to come.

“There’s no better place to be than this place. I am so happy I made the right choice by coming here. And achieving this kind of greatness with the Neapolitans is something that I will wake up and always smile about.

“My children’s children will come into this world and realise that their father has done something amazing,” the player said.

Osimhen is currently holidaying in Lagos, Nigeria but is expected to soon depart for his Italian base for pre season commitments.
