While commending the turnout of voters, he frowned at the influx and heavy presence of thugs noting that their activities are capable of putting a question mark on credibility of the election.

“The turnout of voters is not bad; the security situation is also not bad. I have not seen anything wrong at this moment. I also want to commend INEC because it has not performed badly so far.

“My advice to the voters is that whenever they cast their votes, they should wait behind and keep watch until the final result has been announced. If everything goes as planned, my party will win.”

Meanwhile, Deputy Governor of Ondo State, Olayide Adelami, who is hoping to retain his seat along with incumbent Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa, exercised his civic right at Igboroko 2, Ward 3 Unit 16, in the Owo local government area earlier today.

Speaking with reporters following his participation in the electoral process, the Deputy Governor urged the residents of Owo not to shy away from participating in the electoral process.

“Your vote is your power. I urge you all to come out to vote. In so doing, you will be contributing to the promotion of good governance and a greater Ondo state,” Adelami charged.

A number  of respondents on how they think the Ondo Election will pan out, told Primebusiness.africa that the power of incumbency will playout, adding that with APC at  the helm of affairs at the  federal level as well as in the state, it will be hard for any party to turn the table. “Edo no be Ondo” they said.
