Nigeria born New Zealander and Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) star, Israel Adesanya, has placed $4,000 about (N6.6million) on the table, in a bet that Enyimba will defeat Lobi Stars in today’s midweek clash in Aba.
The 35-year-old who has taken part in 80 kickboxing fights, winning 75, took to the social media to share his bet, expressing his confidence in Enyimba’s ability to secure a victory in today’s match billed for 4pm at the Enyimba International Stadium, Aba.
Join our WhatsApp ChannelToday’s bet, is his second bet within a week. He had earlier placed aa bet of $10,000 on Anthony Joshua’s IBF heavyweight fight against Daniel Dubois, which AJ unfortunately lost woefully against Dubois last Sunday.
Adesanya’s bet is seen as a huge support and believe in the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL).

In the last five matches going into today’s tie, Enyimba have won two, lost one and drawn two while Lobi stars lost three, won one and drew one.
Meanwhile, Enyimba’s head coach, Yemi Olanrewaju, has expressed the team’s motivation to claim the maximum points in the upcoming clash against Lobi Stars.
Olanrewaju who is leading Enyimba into the NPFL encounter days after his team secured a CAF Confederation Cup group stage qualification, emphasised his team’s resolve to improve their standing in the league table.
“We have put the game against EFO behind us and now we have to get back to the league,” Yemi told Enyimba media.
“We will try and climb up on the table, seeing us in that position is not something comfortable.
“All the energy is on the game against Lobi Stars and we are motivated to get it done.”
Enyimba are currently Nigeria’s lone rangers in the Champions league after league champions Rangers International were dumped out of the competition by Sagrada Esperanca of Angola
The Flying Antelopes suffered a 3-1 defeat to the Angolan opponents in the second preliminary round, second leg fixture.
Despite beating their opponents by a lone goal in the first leg in Uyo, Rangers failed to make it to the group stages losing 3-2 on aggregate.
