Former Super Eagles star, Brown Ideye, fired Enyimba back to winning ways at the weekend, thanks to a 2-1 win over visiting Kano Pillars.
Both teams have recorded series of poor results in recent times and in desperate need to return to winning ways. Pillars realised that dream courtesy of a 2-0 win over Lobi Stars heading into the tie against Enyimba.

Interestingly, it was the visitors that dominated possession in the ratio of 56% to Enyimba’s 48%. Pillars mounting pressure, paid off with a consolation goal by Naibe Akpesiri in the 81st minute.
Brown Ideye who joined Enyimba late last year, has netted two goals in seven appearances for the side. He emerged man of the match in the encounter against Pillars, pocketing N150, 000 for his effort.
The result however left both Enyimba and Pillars in the 7th and 9th position on the league table, with 49 and 47 points respectively.
