NIMS: Transport Sector Faced With Too Many Challenges, Says Jime

EXECUTIVE Secretary of the Nigeria Shippers Council, Emmanuel Jime, says the transport sector is faced with many challenges that require solutions

Speaking at the Nigerian International Maritime Summit slated for October 5th and 6th respectively with the theme: “Becoming a Regional Superpower “, Jime said he hopes the summit will give directions on the plans and policies that will boost our economy, reduce poverty in the country, eliminate trade barriers among 55 participating nations and engender trade investments.

The E.S. also said he hoped the summit will afford us the opportunity to as well find solutions to the problems affecting transportation. He mentioned challenges such as gridlock at the port, scanners and other challenges here there.

He rounded off by saying that he is optimistic that the discussants at the summit will come up with brilliant solutions that will resolve the challenges faced in the sector.
