The Nigerian Senate has given the green light to 45 out of the 48 individuals nominated by President Bola Tinubu for ministerial roles a few weeks ago.
However, Malam Nasir El-Rufai, the former governor of Kaduna State, was not approved due to security clearance concerns.
Senate President, Godswill Obot Akpabio, stated that El-Rufai and two others had not received security clearance. The other two nominees not cleared are Stella Okotete from Delta and Danladi Umar from Taraba State.
