Netflix on Thursday premiered a Nigerian blockbuster movie titled ‘Blood Sisters’, produced by Ebonylife, CEO Mo Abudu.
It is said to be the first Nigerian original series to show on the American video subscription streaming service and production company.

Blood Sisters is a story based on two friends Sarah (Ini Dima-Okojie) and Kemi (Nancy Isime). Sarah is engaged to the man of her dreams, Kola (Deyemi Okanlawon). Sadly, their seemingly perfect union has a dark side and despite Kemi’s audible misgivings, Sarah is determined to press on with the wedding. What follows is a heart-stopping series of destructive events manifested by betrayal, love, the test of friendship, and even murder.
Speaking on why it’s rather important to tell the stories of the Blood Sisters, CEO of EbonyLife Studios. Mo Abudu says: “Blood Sisters is a crime thriller, which is a new genre for us, so the prospect was challenging but very exciting!
“It was also a particularly unique and intense experience as we shot during the pandemic, but we remained committed to the vision we share with Netflix – to tell authentic and exciting African stories with superb production values.”
