Music Icon Saheed Osupa Graduates From University of Ibadan

Fuji star bags honours in Political Science 

Nigeria’s fuji music sensation, Akorede Babatunde Okunola best known as Shaheed Osupa in the Nigerian music industry on Wednesday reveled in his graduation from the University of Ibadan (UI) where he bagged a Bachelor of Science degree.

Osupa took to his verified Instagram page to announce that he attended the school’s convocation ceremony after graduating from the nation’s premier university where he read Political Science.

The Yoruba music crooner attained a Second Class Upper Credit from the institution.

“It’s official. Today I attended the convocation ceremony of the University of Ibadan, where I graduated from the department of Political Science with a Second Class Upper Credit.

In 1992, Osupa obtained a National Diploma programme at the Ibadan Polytechnic where he studied Business Administration.

He is an Alumnus of the American International College where he studied Networking Operations.

The 52-year-old singer began his professional music career in 1983 with the debut song, Fuji Fa Disco followed by Fuji Blues.

Osupa is reverred by his colleagues and contemporaries in the sector and was once described as the ‘King of Fuji music’ by another legend of the music genre, Ayinde Barrister.
