Adetshina who survived a lot of hurdles, including pulling out from Miss Universe South Africa under controversial circumstances en-route the grand event in Mexico had earlier spent the Christmas in Nigeria, sending warm greetings to her fans and Nigerians before jetting out.

Adetshina who doubles as Miss Universe Africa and Oceania, revealed in the course of her message her plans to tour the world to empower the youths and women.

She said “I just want to wish you all a merry Christmas and a Happy New Year and I hope you got to spend the best of your period with your loved ones. As the Miss Universe Africa and Oceania, my wish is to travel the world and explore so many cultures.

My expectations with this title is to carry out activities and projects that align with my values, which is empowering the youths, empowering women, advocating for diversity and bringing back smiles to kids’ faces. I just want to say thank you to each and every one of you that has been part of my Universe Journey.”

Hours after the message posted on X via @MissUniverse, a video emerged of Adetshina being welcomed to the house the South Africa and the women in the house dancing, congratulating her and thanking God for her return.

Although some south Africans should disdain for Adetshina just before the Miss Universe World pageant, her emergence as first runners up as forced a U-turn among some haters who have now come to realise that her feat is projecting not just Nigeria and South Africa in good light but also the continent of Africa.
