Nigeria’s Minister for State Petroleum Resources (Oil), Heineken Lokpobiri, has issued a stern warning to oil marketers about fraudulent activities in the industry.
Addressing members of the Major Energies Marketers Association of Nigeria in Abuja, Lokpobiri highlighted alarming practices among operators such as metre adjustments and under-dispensing, and called for urgent remedial action.

“We are ensuring a favourable business environment for the players, having implemented relevant policies for ease of doing business,” he stated, emphasizing the government’s commitment to fostering a conducive atmosphere for industry operations.
Acknowledging the role of oil marketers in driving the downstream petroleum market and serving the interests of Nigerians, Lokpobiri commended their dedication.
