In 2004, she crossed paths with musician and producer Ryan Leslie, who signed her to NextSelection Lifestyle Group. Collaborating with Ryan, Cassie released her breakthrough single “Me & U.”

As her popularity soared, Ryan Leslie joined forces with Diddy’s label, Bad Boy Records, to launch Cassie’s self-titled debut album. Beyond her music career, Cassie ventured into acting, gracing the screen in productions like “Step Up 2: The Streets,” “The Perfect Match,” and “Empire.”
