Manchester United, Arsenal and Newcastle United are reportedly plotting a summer move for Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen.

The Nigeria international has been one of the leading marksmen in European club football this season albeit his game has been blighted by injuries.

Osimhen sustained a severe facial injury when he collided with Milan Skriniar in their 3-2 loss to Inter in November 2021 which ultimately ruled him out of the Africa Cup of Nations in Cameroon in January.

According to Naples-based news outlet, Area Napoli, there will be some tough competition for the signature of the doer Lille and Weder Bremen talisman.

Osimhen’s contract runs out in the summer of 2025, and any club that wants to lure him out of Napoli would have to cough out top dollar.

Osimhen is currently valued at over £65m and unless the English clubs make European club competitions for next season, it is difficult to see him change club.

Newcastle United in particular are battling relegation despite being bought over by wealthy owners in 2021.

Manchester United were held to a 0-0 draw by struggling Watford on Saturday and could find qualification to the UEFA Champions League a tough task to accomplish.

Osimhen has scored 11 goals and four assists in 21 appearances this season.
