But just few hours after that, Westhoff who is older than Okoye by five years, retracted, claiming it was not in her character to do so.

She did not only make a U-turn she also deleted the offensive post with immediate effect

She said: “I am posting this message to sincerely apologise about the recent activities on my social media page. My self-respect matters to me a lot, and unfortunately, I allowed an individual to bring me out of character.”

She further expressed, “It was completely out of character of me to do such,” highlighting her desire to learn from the experience.

“I should never have allowed someone to bring me out of character. But I take today as a learning curve to never allow this to happen again.”

She then concluded her message with a positive note confirming the pair have reconciled.

“Gladly, myself and Maduka have resolved our differences and are now looking forward to being the happy family that we are,” she said.

In a series of explosive Instagram stories, Westhoff, 30, did not hold back as she accused Okoye of lacking respect for their relationship and their family.

“Maduka Okoye. You have no respect for the family you decided to create. And I am done with you. I repeat, I am done with you. I am DONE WITH YOU,” Westhoff wrote, making it clear that their relationship had come to an abrupt and bitter end.

It is not known though why Westhoff chose to embrace the Instagram to dissolve a relationship both have been enjoying behind closed doors for over four years.

The two love birds have a son named Emilio between them. Until their relationship attempted to hit the rocks; Okoye and Westhoff were considered one of the cutest couples in Nigerian football.

Okoye easily one of the biggest ladies crush in the Eagles squad due to his good looks and physique, may not have been too regular for the national team but has always oozed out confidence whenever in the Eagles camp.

Recall that Maduka who stands about 1.97m tall, was literally mobbed by ladies in one of his outings for the national team. It was AFCON match against Sudan in 2022 which Nigeria won 3-1, while some fans criticised Okoye for not saving what was considered a cheap penalty, most ladies came to his defence.

A Twitter user with the name @AriesQueeeenn said, “I don’t care if Okoye did not catch penalty, as long as he catches me when I fall.
