A Nigerian couple, Josh Oyinsan and Mimii Ngulube are current rave of the moment after emerging winners in season 11 of Love Island Uk becoming the first black couple win the popular reality show.

Their victory was announced by regular host Maya Jama, with the couple receiving the highest percentage of the public vote.
Oyinsan, a 29-year-old footballer and model, and Ngulube, a 24-year-old mental health nurse and actress, took home a cash prize of £50,000.
In a post-win interview, Oyinsan expressed excitement about building a life with Ngulube outside of the show.
“I’m looking forward to spending more time with Mimii, meeting her family and friends, and exploring the world together,” he said.
Their victory has been met with widespread celebration on social media, with fans praising the show for its increased diversity and inclusivity.
Love Island is a British dating game show. It is a revival of the earlier celebrity series of the same name, which aired for two series in 2005 and 2006.

The series is the originator of the international Love Island franchise, with twenty-two versions of it having been produced so far worldwide. The show is presented by Maya Jama and narrated by Iain Stirling. The show was previously hosted by both Caroline Flack and Laura Whitmore.
Josh made it clear from outset that he had his eyes set on Mimii and remained patient while she figured out her feelings for Ayo.
His patience paid off as not only did he and Mimii make things ‘exclusive’ on the show they went on to be crowned the winners.
Mimii, whose family is from Zimbabwe, said she’ll learn how to perfect Nigerian Jollof rice for Josh. She further addressed the distance between their basis saying that she’s looking forward to seeing more of London, where he lives, and him coming down to Portsmouth, where she lives.
Josh Oyinsan who last featured for semi-professional club Hemel has been without club since July 1, 2024. Oyinsan who is 1.96m tall plays as midfielder.
