Just In: Super Falcons Grouped With Australia, Ireland, Canada For 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup

Nigeria’s Super Falcons on Saturday morning were grouped alongside Australia, Republic of Ireland and Canada for the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup to be hosted by Australia and New Zealand reports Prime Business Africa.

In the draws, co-hosts New Zealand were pooled in Group A while Australia were drawn in Group B. Spain, England, USA, France, Sweden, and Germany are the other seeded teams occupying groups C to H.

Nine-time African champions Nigeria will compete in Group B of the World Cup after they were drawn from the pots as one of third seeded teams.

Zambia were drawn in Group C with Spain, Costa Rica and Japan while current African champions South Africa will campaign in Group G with Sweden, Italy and Argentina.

Morocco is grouped alongside Germany, Colombia and Korea Republic.

Cameroon and Tunisia will have an opportunity to book their spots at the World Cup when they participate in an intercontinental playoffs in February 2023.
