JUST IN: EFCC Says Bawa Fine After He Slumps In Abuja

ECONOMIC and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has said the Chairman, Abdulrasheed Bawa is fine.

This was disclosed in a statement signed by the EFCC Head of Media and Publicity, Wilson Uwujaren.

Bawa had earlier today slumped while delivering a goodwill message at the third National Identity Day celebration at Banquet Hall, Presidential Villa, Abuja.

Minister of Communications and Digital Economy, Isa Pantami, and some other dignitaries present held him and after some time, he was guided out of the hall.

Uwujaren said, “Chairman of the Economic and Financial Commission, EFCC, Abdulrasheed Bawa is hale and hearty. This clarification became necessary following an incident today September 16, 2021 at the Presidential Villa, Abuja where he was giving a goodwill message to the National Identity Day celebration, felt unwell and had to return to his seat.”

He said Bawa has received medical attention and was due back to his desk.
