Rangers Coach, Fidelis Ilechukwu and his Remo Stars counterpart, Daniel Ogunmodede who have been drafting as assistants to Super Eagles Coach Austin Eguavoen, are showcasing the spirit of sportsmanship worthy of emulation.

The duo who are good to go as Super Eagles prepare to host Mediterranean Knights of Libya Friday at the Nest of Champions Uyo, are partners in progress in Eagles camp and rivals in the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL).

In a video showing phone conversation between Ilechukwu and Ogunmodede who was on his way to the Eagles camp in Uyo,Ilechuwkwu was heard exchanging banters with Ogunmodede asking my boy where you dey? I dey here already come oo I want to see you.”

Recall that in week four ties of the NPFL, Daniel Ogunmodede led Remo Stars defeating reigning champions, Rangers 2-1 at Ikenne. The two men’s re-union in Uyo is their first meeting since that match. Rangers after the said match followed with a lone goal win over Abia Warriors in week 5 match while Remo Stars lost by a lone goal away to Afonja Warriors at the Kwara Sports complex Ilorin.

In week 6 fixtures on Sunday, October 12, Rangers will be away to Sunshine Stars of Akure, while Remo Stars host Nasarawa United.

Rivers United currently lead the league table with 13 points in five matches, while Remo Stars and Rangers occupy the third and fourth position with 12 and 10 points in five matches respectively.

Recall that both teams had a shot in the CAF Champions league this season but failed to make it into the Group Stage.
