How Gunmen Kidnapped Anambra-based Native Doctor ‘Akwa Okuko’

Anambra State-born native doctor popularly called Akwa Okuko Tiwaraki (an egg that breaks palm nut), has been kidnapped by unidentified gunmen in Oba, Idemili North Local Government Area of the state on Sunday night.

Armed men reportedly broke into the hotel of the well-known native doctor, Triple P Hotel, in the Oba neighbourhood and whisked him away to an unidentified location.

Two of the native doctor’s bodyguards were killed during the abduction,

Akwa had been popular with people visiting him to get anti-bullet charms and money rituals as he often boasted about how powerful and rich he was.

The state police public relations officer, DSP Toochukwu Ikenga, who confirmed the incident, stated that it took place about 11:30 PM on Sunday.

He added that CP Aderemi Adeoye has instructed officers of the command to trail the kidnappers and secure his release.
