Galatasaray new man and rave of the moment, Victor Osimhen, stormed Eagles Uyo Camp on Thursday, ahead of Saturday’s clash with Cheetahs of Benin Republic to the delight of teammates.

There had been initial reports that Osimhen who has so far scored 21 goals for the Super Eagles in 35 appearances may not make it to the camp because of the need to complete loan procedures with new club Galatasaray, but the switch to the Turkish Super Lig club was swift, providing ample time for Osimhen to join teammates in Uyo for the double header against Benin Republic on Saturday and Rwanda on Tuesday.  The Eagles versus Cheetahs match is billed to kickoff at 5pm.

Meanwhile, Nantes forward, Moses Simon, has predicted a good result against Cheetahs on Saturday. Working with Coach Austin Eguavoen, who knows the players and has always been an insider according to him ensures seamless blend between players and the coach.

“With Eguavoen, he knows the team because he is not actually out of the team but has always been within the team working with the Federation. As for Cheetahs we lost against them, I don’t think we want to lose against them again, we will always beat them.

“We understand how Nigerians feel when they are not winning and we are going to do our best to win and put smiles on the faces of Nigerians,” he said.
