It is another dark Friday in Afghan bomb blast ripped through a mosque in western Afghanistan, killing a Muslim cleric and atleast 17 other faithful.
According to reports, the Afghan bomb blast went off in the Guzargah Mosque in Herat, western Afghanistan during Friday noon prayers.
Join our WhatsApp ChannelEighteen people were killed in the blast and 21 injured. Among the dead was a prominent cleric called Mujib-ul Rahman Ansari, a close ally of the Taliban government.

“Imam Mujib Rahman Ansari with some of his guards and civilians has been killed on their way toward the mosque. One of the suicide bombers blew himself up while kissing his hands,” said Herat’s police spokesman Mahmoud Rasooli.
This is the third Afghan bomb blast in the Arab country within a month.
Another bomb blast in August had killed 21 people during evening prayers, living 33 injured and before that, Islamic State (IS) militants had killed a pro-Taliban cleric in a suicide bomb blast in the country capital, Kabul.

No group has claimed responsibility for the attack.
All these are coming one year after the United States withdrew its troops from Afghanistan.
