Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola was livid on Sunday after his team was denied a goal in the 1-0 defeat to Liverpool at Anfield.
The Video Assistant Referee (VAR) ruled out a Phil Foden goal as there was a foul in the buildup and Guardiola could not hide his frustrations after his team lost their unbeaten run after 21 matches.

“Do you know how many fouls there were in the game? Do you know how many? A lot. It’s one more.
“With the other ones it’s play on, play on and play on but this one, not play on. I know the reason why, we scored a goal. That’s why.
“Listen, it’s done. We lost because we made a mistake. Tight games and the decisions… tight games are different. We could not score, we had the chances, played with incredible personality from the back and making transitions because of their quality and that’s all.”
Mohamed Salah scored The Reds goal albeit the team lost several scoring chances.
Liverpool lost forward Diogo Jota to injury which adds some gloom to the otherwise good outing for Jurgen Klopp.
Only last weekend against Arsenal, Liverpool’s Luis Diaz hobbled out injured which has ruled him out of the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.
