After trading on Monday, the Nigerian stock market capitalisation rose to N35.55 trillion, as the bourse’s valuation appreciated by 0.21 per cent.
This represents N75.44 billion gain in the stock market capitalisation, which closed Friday’s trading at N35.47 trillion.

Investors traded 334.33 million shares, worth N3.89 billion, in 6,940 deals, on Monday, contrasting with the 363.14 million shares exchanged in 6,644 deals on Friday, worth N6.07 billion.
Top five gainers
- Enalmelwa’s share appreciated by N1.75 kobo to rise from N17.75 kobo to N19.50 kobo per share.
- Wema Bank grew by N0.42 kobo, up from N4.30 kobo to N4.72 kobo per share.
- UPL ended trading with N2.48 kobo from N2.26 kobo per share, rising by N0.22 kobo.
- Sunu Assurances gained 9.68 per cent to end trading at N1.02, having opened with N0.93 kobo per share.
- Glaxo SmithKline’s stock was up by N0.85 kobo, closing at N9.75 kobo from N8.90 kobo per share.

- Omatek depreciated by 8.82 per cent, dwindling from N0.34 kobo to N0.31 kobo per share.
- Prestige declined by 7.84 per cent kobo to end trading at N0.47 kobo, after opening at N0.51 kobo per share.
- McNichols followed the same path, losing 7.35 per cent after trading hours, to sell at N0.63 kobo from N0.68 kobo per share.
- Cornerstone reported a decline of 7.22 per cent from the previous day’s share price of N0.97 kobo to end trading at N0.90 kobo per share.
- Wapic’s share depreciated to N0.63 kobo from N0.67 kobo, after losing 5.97 per cent during trading hours.

- Sterling Financial Holdings reported 55.14 million shares, valued at N197.26 million, were traded on its floor.
- FCMB recorded 28.24 million shares valued at N173.84 million.
- Fidelity Bank saw investors trade 18.84 million shares valued at N150.84 million.
- Japaul Gold recorded 17.35 million shares exchanged on its floor, worth N17.01 million.
- Access Corporation reported 17.10 million shares, valued at N296.63 million, exchanged investors’ hands.
