The Greece Digital Nomad Visa is initially granted for one year but can be extended, providing individuals with an opportunity for an extended stay. The application process typically takes between 10 days to one month to process, ensuring a relatively swift response for those eager to embark on this journey. If you plan to work for a company remotely, be sure to provide a valid letter of employment as part of your application.

Financial Requirements and Taxes for Digital Nomads

To be eligible for the Greece Digital Nomad Visa, applicants must consider the following financial requirements:

€75 application fee.

€150 administration fee.

As of October 2023, a minimum monthly salary of at least €3,500.

If you plan to bring your spouse and one dependent, you must demonstrate a monthly earning capability of €4,830.

In terms of taxes, if your stay in Greece as a digital nomad is less than six months, you won’t be required to pay taxes. However, once you exceed this duration, you will become liable for tax obligations.

According to Greek law, during your first seven years as a digital nomad in Greece, only half of your monthly income will be subject to taxes, providing a considerable financial benefit.
