Frantic Search For Wizkid’s Missing Phone Continues Amid N5m Reward

Search for the  phone of Afrobeat and pop star, Ayodeji Ibrahim Balogun, popularly known as Wizkid, is still continuing after it got missing during his performance at the Nativeland concert held at Sol Beach, Elegushi, Lagos, on Saturday night.

The ‘More Love Less Ego’ crooner was having an energetic performance when the phone reportedly fell.

A reward of ₦5 million has already been announced to anyone who finds the phone, but no positive sign has been recorded thus far.

During the event, DJ Tunez made an announcement from the stage, explaining that Wizkid’s phone had fallen during his energetic performance.

“While my brother Wizkid was performing, his phone dropped. Anybody who finds Wizkid’s phone, there’s ₦5 million waiting. It’s my boss’s phone. Please, if you find it, bring it to me,” DJ Tunez declared to the crowd.

He later reiterated the appeal on social media, posting on X (formerly Twitter): “I’m gooooooood! Please if you find Machala’s phone hit me up! Thank you!”

The Nativeland concert, which featured performances from several top artists, faced additional controversy after the stage partially collapsed during a performance by rapper Odumodublvck.

Meanwhile, Nigerian singer, Tochukwu Gbubemi Ojogwu, better known as Odumodublvck,  has warned his fans to desist from getting him involved in the ongoing feud between Davido and Wizkid.

Speaking via a statement on X, the singer appreciated both artists for their contribution to his career.

He recalled how Wizkid had posted his song “Declan Rice” while he was recovering in the hospital, a gesture that profoundly changed his life and that of his family. He also praised Davido for the many favours he has received from him.

Odumodublvck emphasised that he would never betray the trust or support of either artist and called on fans to stop trying to pit him against them.

He wrote, “Abeg, make una leave me. I was on my sick bed in Abuja, I almost lost my life, only to wake up, and see that Wizkid posted Declan Rice. It was the beginning of something new for me and my family. I cannot put into words how I felt. I have never been the one to bite the hand that feeds me, and I will never be that person. Never. #Morayo”
