Julius OkorieChelsea legend, Frank Lampard, is back in the saddle after being appointed as Manager of Championship side Coventry City.
Lampard handled Chelsea both as coach with three year contact in 2019 and interim coach in 2023 has been off managerial role since his interim regime at the Stamford Bridge last year.

Lampard has been offered a two-and-a-half-year deal that will see him be at Coventry City till 2027.
The appointment was confirmed by the club on Thursday, following the dismissal of former manager Mark Robins on November 7.
Coventry City via X said, “A new chapter in Coventry. Welcome, Frank.”
It no doubt be a daunting task for Lampard who is stepping in at a time when Coventry is currently sitting 17th in the league table, 10 points adrift of the playoff positions.
He will be hoping that his wealth of coaching experience, having previously managed Chelsea, Derby County, and Everton will help his new club turn things around.
Mark Robins, who was sacked after Coventry’s seventh loss in 14 league games, leaves behind a legacy of transformative work.
Robins first managed Coventry from 2012 to 2013, returning in 2017 to guide the team from League Two to the Championship.
He also led the Sky Blues to the brink of Premier League promotion in the 2023 playoff final, narrowly losing to Luton Town on penalties.
The Coventry job marks Lampard’s fifth in management, following spells at Derby County, Everton and two stints with Chelsea.

He has worked largely in the media since his last role, as interim manager at Stamford Bridge, ended in May 2023.
Lampard’s first match in charge of the Sky Blues will be at home to Cardiff City on Saturday.
An elated Coventry owner Doug King is hopeful of a turnaround following Lampard’s appointment, saying “’I am delighted that Frank Lampard has agreed to join our club as Head Coach.
Frank cut his teeth in the Championship and knows what is needed in this League to be successful. ‘His experiences thereafter at Chelsea and Everton will ensure he brings to our talented squad clear understanding of exactly what is needed to succeed at the very top level that we as a Club are striving to reach.”
