Former FA Cup and FIFA World Cup winner with Chelsea and France Frank Leboeuf has backed his former side Chelsea to defeat Arsenal Sunday afternoon.

Speaking on ESPN, Leboeuf predicted a narrow win for Graham Potter’s men at Stamford Bridge on Sunday.

All eyes will be fixated on the mighty clash in the capital, with both sets of players and managers desperate to claim the London bragging rights.

Arsenal can maintain their grip on the Premier League summit with a positive result, having lost just one of their 12 domestic ties so far.

Mikel Arteta has respectably transformed the Gunners into a winning machine, a phrase not often used throughout his tenure at the Emirates.

The same cannot quite be said for Potter since he replaced Thomas Tuchel despite also tasting defeat only once in 11 matches in charge of Chelsea.

Recent performances haven’t exactly left a huge amount to be desired, especially the 4-1 loss to Brighton & Hove Albion last weekend.

However, all the past disappoints will be quickly forgotten if the Blues can blast Arsenal out of Stamford Bridge.

Who will win between Chelsea and Arsenal was the question posed to the onetime Les Blues star.

“I still believe, individually, Chelsea players are better than Arsenal players. As I said before, I know Arsenal are going to come full of confidence and they are the favourites,” said Leboeuf when asked to predict tomorrow’s result.

“But it’s so much an important game for Chelsea, I don’t see them missing the point, so it’s why I see them winning 3-2.”

Arteta’s last visit to the Bridge was a triumphant one winning 4-2, thanks to a double from former Blue Eddie Nketiah.

Thomas Tuchel secured all three points at the Emirates in the fixture before.

Who’s turn is it this time to celebrate? Anything other than Chelsea is the wrong answer.

Chelsea have a number of players injured ahead of the game on Sunday with N’golo Kante, Ben Chilwel, Kepa Arrizabalaga, Carney Chukwuemeka and Reece James all ruled out.

Lebouef played for Chelsea, in the 90s and was also a very important player for France who won the 1998 FIFA World Cup in France.
