Speaking at the Nigeria Sustainability Summit 2023, Rab highlighted the indispensable role of robust financial institutions in steering Nigeria toward economic prosperity.

“Strong financial institutions are the bedrock of a thriving economy,” Rab emphasized.

“To propel Nigeria into the realm of 21st-century economic progress, certified sustainable financial entities must spearhead the transition from traditional development models.”
In collaboration with Access Holdings Plc and the European Sustainable Development Organisation (EOSD) and Financial Nigeria, the summit aimed to mobilize corporate Nigeria towards a shared mission of transforming the country into a technologically advanced, socially inclusive, and environmentally conscious nation.
Omobolanle Victor-Laniyan, Head of Group Sustainability at Access Holdings, echoed the urgency of sustainable practices in Nigeria. “Our nation seeks a future defined by economic resilience, environmental stewardship, and social responsibility.”
“The private sector, wielding its resources and influence, is pivotal in driving this change,” she asserted in her welcome address.”
Acknowledging the hurdles hindering sustainable development, Victor-Laniyan stressed the need for united efforts to overcome these challenges. “The private sector’s dynamism and commitment offer the key to impactful change that benefits our environment, society, and economy,” she added.
“Through strategic partnerships and collaborative ecosystems, we can advocate for policies promoting sustainability, fostering economic growth, and ultimately enhancing the quality of life for every Nigerian,” she concluded.
The summit serves as a beacon for stakeholders to unite, leveraging collective strengths, innovative solutions, and advocacy for sustainable policies, paving the way for a brighter and more sustainable future for Nigeria.
