English FA Releases Fixtures For Carabao Cup First Round

The first round  fixtures of the 2024-2025 Carabao Cup has been dished out.  The fixtures were released by the England FA Thursday, June 27, 2024 with relegated Premier League sides Burnley, Luton and Sheffield United set to flag off proceedings.

The first round of the Carabao Cup is usually the exclusives of clubs in English second-tier and lower-tier leagues.

Premier League clubs including the newly promoted side, Leicester City where Super Eagles duo Kelechi Iheanacho and Wilfred Ndidi will be hoping to shine as usual,Ipswich Town, and Southampton, will enter into the 2024-2025 Carabao Cup in the second round, while English clubs playing in European competitions will enter the competition in the third round.

Liverpool are reigning champions of the Carabao Cup after defeating Chelsea by a lone goal at the Wembley Stadium in February.

The Carabao Cup first round will be played on the week commencing August 12.
