Still basking in the euphoria of the party’s victory in the gubernatorial election, Edo State APC Chairman, Jarret Tenebe, has revealed three immediate issues the in-coming governor will tackle.
He noted that Edo State under Godwin Obaseki has witnessed so much division,, revealing that Monday Okpebholo will hit the ground running by:

*Empowering the youth and women
*Re-installing the respect accorded traditional rulers in the state.
Tenebe described Saturday’s election as the fairest he has seen, insisting that 54-year-old Okpebholo, who is the incumbent Senator representing Edo Central Senatorial zone, is the man for the job.
“Okpebholo will bring development. He is going to empower the youths. He is going to empower the women. Okpebholo will unite the state. No respect for traditional rulers that will stop” he said.
Tenebe who dismissed allegations that the election was rigged in favour of their candidate, gave the Independent Electoral Commission (INEC) a pat on the back and urged the commission to continue with its modus oparandi.
“Our party cannot rig election, because we are not INEC. And the election that we saw yesterday is the fairest election ever conducted in this state. And we pray that INEC continue like this. And if they continue like this, it then means the country is going to be advancing to be seeing a proper and good electoral process,” he submitted while x-raying the election.
Tenebe who came short of describing current Edo State Governor, Godwin Obaseki, as ‘bad market’ opined that PDP candidate Asue Ighodalo lost because of his association with the governor.
According to him, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship candidate, Asue Ighodalo, lost because of Governor Godwin Obaseki.
“Nobody would see anything that has to do with Obaseki and touch it. Nobody wants to touch Obaseki,” Tenebe added.
